Mega Bloks Hello Kitty Treehouse is nicely designed building set that due to its theme would be more popular for girls.

I’m strong believer that regardless whether you choose this specific set or any other building blocks set that would be great for kid creativity development, imagination and coordination.
Therefore my kids are playing with different sets since they were small and they still like it a lot.

This set I bought for a gift for a five year old girl and she liked it very much.
Due to smaller blocks it cannot be recommend for kids younger than 3, but also due to number of blocks (around 200) younger kids wouldn’t have patience to build it to the end.

I can definitely recommend this set for all kids and parents who like to play with building sets especially if you also love Hello Kitty character.

The quality of the bricks sure could be improved. I expected these to be comparable to Lego bricks, but they really aren’t engineered as well. The blocks fall apart entirely too easily, frustrating my 4 year-old who wanted to play with the built set. Even my 7 year-old, who plays exclusively with Legos, noticed the difference. Aside from the engineering issue, the packaging was odd. Like Lego kits, there were several bags of bricks. UNLIKE Lego kits, you have to open ALL of the bags at the beginning and sort through the entire kit to find the bricks you need. I have no idea why Mega Bloks wouldn’t place all of the bricks for the first half of the project in one bag, and the rest in another.
